Thank you for choosing Isola Wellness! My name is Em, and I’m your Master Herbalist and Iridologist. To book your Initial or Follow-Up consultations, please visit my BOOKING PAGE.
About Em Miiller, MH, ClH, RH (AHA), Iridologist
Since 2014, I have studied and become accredited as a Master Herbalist and Iridologist focusing on Western Herbalism, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurvedic Medicine and Botanical Skincare Formulation. I have a small retail and clinic space where I offer Isola skincare and bodycare products, Harmonic Arts Award-Winning Herbal Remedies and Canadian Kelp Harvesters Macro Kelp.
I have seen alternative health practitioners for my own health, the health of my family, and my animals for over 30 years. I completed 10 years of education in Iridology and Herbalism from the Wild Rose College of Canada , and from the Herbal Academy of New England , to become a Master Herbalist and Clinical Herbalist. I continue to be an active member and affiliate at both schools.
I attended college for large animal veterinary medicine as a veterinary technologist, and have worked in veterinary practices prior to finding my career in alternative health.
My Specialties:
1. Wellness Through Each Season
As a Clinical Herbalist and Iridologist, I have focused my practice on Wellness through each season, which is where the foundation of Traditional Chinese Medicine applies. I am passionate about working with people who are active with their fitness and health journeys, or who wish to dedicate more of their energies to living a more balanced, healthy life. I have particular interest in the endocrine system and common imbalances therein, as well as brain health. My passion for these two serious body systems inspire me to continue to research and learn from alternative and allopathic studies, and share the most innovative recommendations with my clients.
2. Athletes
As a ballet dancer myself, I have an understanding of the gruelling routines that being a sports professional can involve for the body and the mind. In my adult years, I continue to practice ballet 3-4 days a week, while incorporating supporting programs including pilates, biking, lots of walking, and horseback riding! While I am not a professional athlete, I do have a passion for using balancing lifestyle practices and building herbal remedies to bring out the athletic potential that our bodies carry.
When I practice Herbalism and Iridology for people, it is important for clients to know that many herbal programs take three to nine months, and sometimes longer. This is due to herbalism often addressing the collective constitution of the body to find the root of a particular acute issue. Many Herbalists will confirm that they are ‘constitutional healers’. In my areas of study, humans and animals typically require a more immediate relief from their discomforts, which herbs and my referrals for acupuncture treatments can address. My goal is to create a tailored seasonal programme for each of my clients so that we may avoid imbalances that result in discomfort which are often brought on by seasonal environmental changes. With many people (and animals) it is vital to change the herbal remedies and program each season.
3. Herbalism for Horses
My second area of education and interest is in working with animals and their health, with a focus on horses. I have had horses my entire life, and I am educated as a Veterinary Technologist. Horses respond to herbs and Traditional Chinese Medicine so positively and quickly! I have been able to work with horses who have discomforts ranging from behavioural anxieties to Cushing’s symptoms, injuries, hormonal imbalances and digestive issues. My two horses, Tobi, a 24 year old Arabian, and Aksel, who is 5 years old, are my greatest passions.
If you’re ready to book your free 20 minute Iridology and Herbalism consultation, please email a clear, close-up photo of each iris to em@isolaherbals.com . Still have questions? Feel free to email em@isolaherbals.com, or connect with me on Instagram @IsolaHerbals
What to Expect:
I will ask a series of questions regarding lifestyle, food aversions and cravings, exercise habits, medical history and thought tendencies, as well as examine the iris of the eye and review what I see in the map of your Iris. I may also take your pulse, look at your hands and fingernails, and ask to see your tongue, all of which are diagnostic techniques stemming from Traditional Chinese Medicine. From there, I am able to determine your individual tissue strengths and weaknesses and constitution type, and make recommendations for lifestyle and health choices of yourself (or your beloved animal.)
I will typically recommend diet alterations, which are often temporary, lasting anywhere from a few weeks and up to nine or 10 months. To build on the process of balancing the body to correct discomforts or dis-ease, I may also recommend herbal supplements, teas, tinctures and/or topical salves.
I prefer for new clients to schedule a second consultation within the first month of starting a program with me, and following that, we would schedule consultations every two-three months (seasonally) as we work together with the environment and lifestyle to create a more balanced, healthy, energetic body.

Recently had a virtual iridology session with Em and really enjoyed the experience. She was very thorough, offered insight into the “dis-ease” I am currently experiencing and opened my eyes to a new way of approaching my current health issues. Em made sure to explain things in a way that I could understand and was a pleasure to chat with!
Em ;)
Thank you Erica! It was a pleasure speaking with you!

I have been seeing Em for a few years now, especially last year when I was confronted with a few very uncomfortable health issues. After having a herbalist and iridology consult, she offered me some recommendations which I began right away. Not only was Em knowledgeable, positive and confident, but her calm demeaner was contagious and helped me remain calm as we let time and her recommendations do their good work. And sure enough, they did! I use multiple Isola products in which my skin absolutely loves, especially in the dry winters. Em has also helped my horses with herbal remedies! Thank you Em for all you do for your human and animal clients!
