Spring in Alberta, Canada is really a mixture of all of the seasons; It might snow one day, have blue skies and sunshine the next, and then have a cloud cover and strong winds the next… or, all of these weather phenomenons can occur all in the same day! The Dark Season: Autumn 2025
Welcoming November here at Isola means welcoming change – big change. Here in the Northern Hemisphere our lives change drastically when the season changes from summer to autumn/winter. We go through a personal physical and emotional ‘winterizing’, as well as a tangible winterizing of our properties. Physically, we tend to feel that we need a little more rest. SUMMER 2025
We’re 1/3 of the way through Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere, and our weather hasn’t been its typical warm and dry. Instead, it’s been dreamy, misty mornings and rainfall sporadically. We haven’t had to water the lawns or gardens, and there’s a dewiness to the air that I don’t know if I’ve ever experienced in Alberta. While this amount of rain has stressed some local farmers who are praying to get their crops nice and dry for harvest, for horse-people like myself its been lovely to watch my big boys enjoying the fresh grass that’s growing every day without turning them out to summer pasture. High Summer
At the beginning of 2025, I found myself seated passenger on a long drive through the mountains with no mobile service, so I spent the time learning how to make a collage using photos from my phone. I’ve since made many little manifestation boards, or vision boards, and I use them as the background on my phone, or to share my inspirations on my social media.
