Chapter 2026: Isola Winter Facial Oil, Becoming a Registered Herbalist, plus Herbal Mentorships Available!
2026 not only brings the Year of The Horse, it brings new seasons, new inspiration and new, fresh growth. I don’t believe that any of this is necessarily because of a certain date of the year, but I do believe in the tradition of celebrations or festivals, and new beginnings following.
With the season of winter in our present, and the season of spring in our close future, Isola is busier than ever. Our new Winter Facial Oil is here, and our spring products are infusing with beautiful organic herbs grown in the Isola gardens and greenhouse.
Becoming a Registered Herbalist
Throughout the world there are varying degrees of accreditation in the fields of complimentary alternative medicine. For Herbalists, we can be accredited through our certificates or diploma programs, or we can simply call ourselves Herbalists based on our own practice, regardless of our education.
For me, becoming accredited as a Clinical Herbalist was important, and completing my diploma as a Master Herbalist this month is equally important. I believe that my educational accreditation is important to my clients as well. Finally, I have a great appreciation for associations who regulate the practice of Herbalism, as clients can be well-assured that their Registered Herbalist has met the standards of education and experience, worked in a clinical setting with mentors, and adheres to the moral and ethical codes of that association. So this month I also became a Registered Herbalist.
Offering Herbal Mentorships

Throughout the past 11 years of my education and practice, working with a mentor has been and continues to be one of the most valuable assets to my practice. This is why I am now offering mentoring for students of Herbalism. There many different paths for an Herbalist to choose for their practice, and my goal as a mentor is to share my experiences and education to help guide students through their journey of learning ancient practices and applying them in modern ways.
