High Summer

At the beginning of 2025, I found myself seated passenger on a long drive through the mountains with no mobile service, so I spent the time learning how to make a collage using photos from my phone. I’ve since made many little manifestation boards, or vision boards, and I use them as the background on my phone, or to share my inspirations on my social media. I’m happy to say that I’ve achieved many of the things that I put on my original 2025 board, and as a Summertime/half-year check-in, I’ve made a few alterations to the board.

Our Summer is short and precious here in Alberta, but isn’t it the loveliest time of the year? Our fields, trees, mountains, rivers, lakes, gardens and homes become so vibrant and alive!

I’ve been fortunate to have a bounty of chamomile and lavender growing in my gardens this year, due to lots of rain and a good amount of sun, so this year’s summer Petal Lip Balm is an Isola-grown chamomile and lavender, blended with local Alberta honey. Paired with Isola’s newest product, Flower Essences, and our beautiful tiny retail and clinic space in Crossfield, the Isola 2025 summer aesthetic is perhaps our proudest yet!

I am so grateful for all of the new and continuing clients that come to me as their Herbalist and Iridologist, and for the inspiration that nature shares to keep my creativity flowing as I develop new products!
